RENU Robes™ Install Guide

What’s in the box?

You will usually receive two boxes:

  • Curtains
  • Expandable curtain track and mounting parts

Recommended fixings:

  • Brick or concrete: Wall plugs with standard screws (6–8 mm plugs recommended).
  • Plasterboard into timber studs: Wood screws fixed directly into the studs.
  • Plasterboard with no studs: Heavy-duty plasterboard anchors (toggle or hollow-wall anchors). PENDING your curtains can be held safely and securely. Please ensure you have a professional handy person to support this.

1. Assemble the curtain track:

  1. Lay the track pieces on the floor.
  2. Join the track from the centre using the insert piece.
  3. Loosen (do not remove) the small screws at each end of the insert.
  4. Push the track sections together — this may require gentle wriggling and firm pressure.
  5. Once fully inserted, tighten the screws to lock the track in place.
  6. Extend the track to match the width of your space.

2. Prepare the mounting brackets:

  1. Sort the mounting brackets — there are two sizes.
  2. Clip the brackets onto the track, spacing them approximately 50–60 cm apart. (You may have a few spare brackets)

3. Check height (wall mount only):

  • Before fixing the track, hold the curtain fabric up against the wall to confirm the correct mounting height.
  • Adjust if needed so the curtains sit perfectly to your taste, once installed.

4. Fix the track in place:

Secure the track to the wall or ceiling using screws suitable for your surface.

IMPORTANT: For S Fold curtains, ensure you allow enough distance for the back fold, approx. 8cm from wall/storage space.

5. Hang the curtains:

  1. Slot each curtain hook into a corresponding clip on the track.
  2. Take your time to ensure every clip has a hook for even hanging.

S-Fold styling:

  1. Starting at one end, gently fold the fabric back and forth to create even “S” waves.
  2. Adjust the folds by hand along the track until the spacing looks uniform.
  3. Allow the curtains to hang for 24–48 hours for the folds to naturally settle.
